What you agree to when joining early access, and how stakes work when you use the app.

AlarmRoyale is in development and is not released yet. Joining early access does not create a payment authorisation. This website does not take payments or collect card details.

Early access

The first 1,000 users who sign up for early access get unlimited usage, even if usage limits are added later. This offer does not cover money charged for failed alarms.

Early access can close at any time. If you qualify for the offer, your unlimited usage stays.

Joining the list lets us contact you about early access, the app's development, and opportunities to help shape it. You can ask to be removed by emailing info@alarmroyale.com.

How the app works

You set an alarm, choose your own stake, and register a physical object by scanning its barcode. When the alarm rings there is no snooze or dismiss button. You must get up and scan the registered object before the server-timed deadline to stop the alarm.

The app is free. You are only charged if you fail an alarm. There is no subscription today. Stakes are shown in pounds sterling (GBP).

Payment authorisation in the app

When you save a card in the app, nothing is taken at that moment. You authorise AlarmRoyale to charge the stake you set for an alarm if you do not scan your registered object before its deadline. This is an off-session payment: the charge happens while you are not using the app and does not require you to approve it again at that moment.

This authorisation is given in the app when you save your card. Reading this page or joining the email list does not authorise any charge.

You can remove your saved card at any time. Alarms with a stake stop working when you do.

Where the money goes

If you miss the deadline, AlarmRoyale charges your stake and we donate the full amount received by us to charity. Donations are sent every month.

Card processing fees are deducted by Stripe before the money reaches us. We keep none of it. We choose the charity for now. Being able to pick your own is coming.
